Depending on what you need to move and how far you have to move it, renting a van and doing it yourself may be a reasonable choice. Before opting for this approach, however, carefully consider how much your time and energy are worth. You may decide that it's more cost-effective, in the end, to hire a mover.

If you choose a mover make sure they are reliable and will be there for you on moving day.

Shop around we are the best upfront rates around no hidden costs what so ever.

  • You may get a lower rate but watch out for hidden cost like milage, gas, blankets, etc..
  • Ask if they can provide equipment such as quilted pads, a dolly, a stepladder for loading the upper area of the truck, cartons, packing tape and so on.
  • Check with your insurance broker to make sure your home insurance covers your belongings while they're in transit.
  • If your move is a long-distance one, you may have to pay an extra charge with other movers.
  • To calculate loading times, allow at least one hour per 1,000 pounds of cargo. Unloading times will be similar. A typical residential move will require transporting 5,000 to 8,000 pounds of belongings.
  • Most of all be careful when hiring a mover make sure they have been in buisness for awhile and there not just fly by night movers.
  • We at R.U.Moving have been in buisness for over ten years and our goal has always been the same to save you time, energy and money while doing a great job for you.
