Darrin Swinamer, owner/operator of Swinamer's Interior Custom Shutters has been working as a carpenter for over 20 years. Born and raised in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, Darrin has also lived and worked in the industry in Vancouver, B.C.
Darrin was first introduced to interior shutters while working at California Shutters in Vancouver. After returning home to Nova Scotia, he designed his own version of these decorative and practical window coverings and started his own business in 2002. Since this time, we have improved the décor of homes in Lunenburg and Queens Counties, throughout the HRM and the Valley.
While living is Vancouver, Darrin also worked at West Bay Sun Ships, building luxury yachts and building on his love for sailing.
Darrin has expanded his business to include custom interior and exterior finish carpentry, new home construction, renovations and additions, furniture, cabinetry and build-ins. Darrin enjoys working with various woods and loves mixing finishes and styles for a truly custom look.
